Erin Chapel
Erin Chapel is a military spouse of 30 years with five children and three grandchildren. She has over 20 years of experience working with military members and first responders from a multitude of career fields. She serves as clinical consultant for the Reno Fire Department and the Northern Nevada Peer Support Network. While she utilizes a variety of treatment modalities within her practice, she finds EMDR to be a particularly useful tool when doing trauma work. In addition to her mental health work, she is also a licensed supervisor for both substance abuse and gambling interns within the State of NV. Erin is passionate about the work she does and is grateful for the opportunity to share a bit of it in this forum.
Robert Weisz
Dr. Weisz earned an MA in psychology in 1968 and a Ph.D. in clinical/community psychology in 1972 from the University of Wyoming. During graduate school years, he conducted research and authored a number of articles in scientific journals in the field of sleep and dreams. Dr. Weisz is a founder and Director of the Milton Erickson Institute for Clinical Hypnosis and Behavioral Sciences of New Mexico, and the Brainspotting and Hypnotherapy Clinic. Dr. Weisz has served in the adjunct clinical faculty at the University Of New Mexico School Of Medicine, and at the University of Wyoming; and the faculties of Webster University and Southwestern College. He has been an international trainer in Ericksonian Hypnosis since 1982, a Brainspotting trainer since 2008, and a Mindfulness-Based Emotional Processing trainer since 2013. His current specialty is in trauma processing and the facilitation of emotional processing in psychotherapy.
Amanda Davison
Amanda S. Davison is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Masters in Counseling specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. Amanda leads with honesty, integrity and purpose in her role as CEO of The Family Connection. She received the #1 Small Business of the Year award from the Women’s Economic Self-Sufficiency Team (WESST) in 2014 and 2019. Amanda’s leadership has helped to cultivate a positive culture in which employees take pride in living out their purpose and serving others. The Family Connection’s Rio Rancho office was recognized for the Best of 2020 Awards in Counseling by the Rio Rancho Awards.
